Nia
Wyn Jones is a designer and creator of all things metal.
As a graduate of Design from the University of Wolverhampton, she started
her career in London, working as a giftware designer for a design house
supplying John Lewis, Liberty, and Debenhams. Since establishing her own studio in 1998, Nia has undertaken a wide variety of commissions from bird tables to king sized beds. As well as producing work for private clients, she has designed for hotels, schools, government bodies, churches and architects. She recently worked on a commission for a villa in Spain and her work has been exported as far afield as the USA and Dubai. Never short of energy, herself, Nia works in spare moments as an arts correspondent for the TV channel S4C and BBC Wales. Whether in front of the camera or alone in her workshop, Nia gives total commitment. It is no surprise, then, that Nia has been appointed a director of the Makers Guild in Wales, which represents the very best of arts and crafts in the Principality. |
